How I have learned to grow at Focus by Kyle Nitschke

Ive only been working at Focus since Nov 1st 2010. This is my first telephone sales rep job. I've always worked in retail and have worked with people face to face. At this job I've learned how to read the customers through the phone.

I moved into a number one position after being on the phone for a few weeks. I've learned about "In the Box Coaching" and how to read stats. The biggest thing that I have learned is how to coach agents. Its helped tremendously with the agents on my team. Ill continue to grow with our new leadership program. I'm excited to proceed forward with Focus.
How I have learned to grow at Focus by Kelsey Dersham

When asked about my experiences at Focus a plethora of memories come to mind. To start off Focus is my first job besides detasseling. I got hired and started my training on August 31st in 2010.  My trainer was Shane Folsom. Not only did he teach me all the essentials he also helped me through the trials and troubles. Not only is my life hectic so is every other human beings life and Focus has been very understanding on days I need off as well as the confusions I have with certain things.

Now for my opportunities that focus has provided me. My first day at training was one that you could say was quiet surprising. I knew that Focus was a calling center but I wasn't aware of just how hard it was. Im an overall social person and I don't mind talking with people, but my first call terrified me. I soon started getting more and more comfortable and now in the last few months my hard work has really showed. I've been able to stand as a coach for my team as well as I've been asked my a few coaches including my current coach Ed Thomas to be there number one. Not everyone would find that flattering but as a 16 year old trying to do my best at my first job in which I though I was going to fail at, I feel very proud that every coach knows me by name. Not only do my coaches trust me but they also expect me to do better than most.

Overall my time at Focus has been amazing and it has really showed me how much people can care about a certain cause.

How I have learned to grow at Focus by Bryden Nelson

Since I have been here at Focus I have learned quite a few things.  First is you really need to be an understanding person. Being an agent and being a number one gives you perspective from both sides of the job. As a number one I learned how to listen and understand because I put myself in the agent’s shoes. When being a number one I would be helping others as I wanted to be helped.
I learned that you can have fun at work! When Kevin Montano was my coach he made my job enjoyable.  He would make most everything a joke but still serious at the same time.
Staying positive is a huge part of this job. As an agent if you come to work with a positive attitude you’re going to have a good day. When I number one that is my biggest thing, to keep everyone positive! I like to push people to the top so they can succeed not only at this job but at life in general. No matter how bad of a day you’re having if you don’t change your attitude it’s just going to bring you and others around you down. It’s a domino effect.
So therefore, I have learned to be understating, have fun, stay positive and only you can make you better. Push to what you want in life, no matter what it takes.
