Tuition Reimbursement

Focus will begin paying out tuition reimbursement in the next week. If you have been employed with in the first five weeks from the beginning of the semester you are eligible for the Fall semester of 2010. If you earn a 3.0 to 5.59 you will receive 50% of tuition reimbursed, 3.60 and above you will receive 70% it is based off of what Weber State charged three years ago. We want to help you get through school! Look at your peers you can also be on this list. Thanks and keep up the good work! Food Drive

We are pleased to announce that we had a successful year with our food drive. Thank you to all employees who brought in food to donate. In Utah we were able to donate 378.5 lbs of food to the Catholic Community Services. I know that we had some success in the MW as well. In Dubuque Chase's training class won the contest for donating the most food in their site. Great job to all!!! It is so nice to be able to help out others in our community!

Update on the School in Ghana

Here are some pictures of the sewing/administrative building that we are helping to build in Ghana. It is coming along really well. With the new school built, it will help students learn trades and skills to provide an income for their families. We are really excited to see how far they have come.

Utah Annual Turkey Bowl

The Utah Turkey Bowl was a success again this year. We had 3 teams show up and a lot of fun football was played. Thanks to all those who came out and played and to everyone who came out to support as our cheerleaders, scorekeepers, and officials. I think we were all greatful that it didn't snow on us like last year!!

Mission Statement Rollout

Last week we had our mission statement rollout in the Utah sites. In our MW sites we did them last month. Here is our mission statement:

Weekly Mission Statement Message

With the rollout of our mission statement, we will be working as a company to better improve the lives of our people, our partners, and our communities. We have split the year into thirds to Focus on each section in more detail. Over the next four months our Focus will be on People. During the month of November we will be specifically focusing on "Developing People". We will have weekly challenges and competitions with great prizes for the winning teams! Make sure your team is number 1.

This weeks message is career path. Our competition will start on Monday November 8th. The first team to have every member of their team set a clear career path will win $100 for a party for their team. All career paths will be sent in by the directors and approved by Chris Hislop. We want all team members to think about what they want to do as a career. This may or may not entail staying at Focus and moving up or working at Focus while going through school to be become an engineer. Each person has different talents and interest and Focus wants to help encourage your development while you set lofty goals and do everything in your power to achieve them. Good luck and may your team win the party!

All Employees,

This is just a reminder to all employees that the ESG website will be down Wednesday at noon until Friday at 5pm every pay period! You will not be able to log in to the ESG website at all during that time. Payday is not until Mondays so please wait until after 5pm on Fridays to look at your checks!

Utah Trunk or Treat

The Utah trunk or treat was a huge success! We had a lot of Focus employees show up with their families. It was fun to see everyone in their costumes and meet the families of all of the people we see every day! Thank you for coming and making it so much fun!
