| Primary Purpose |
| The software development team is involved with supporting the company by ensuring that it has the tools needed to be successful in this competitive market. Focus is also positioning itself to become a software outsource provider, marketing its systems to clients and other companies in the industry. As a member of the software development team, the successful candidate will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle to build software systems that will help the company function more efficiently and effectively. This includes but is not limited to working with other departments to develop design specifications, programming web-based applications, building and maintaining supporting databases, and maintaining custom-built software. |
| Major Roles and Responsibility |
| · Communicate with other departments throughout the company to identify software requirements · Design, build, and implement web-based software applications · Design and build reports · Provide maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for end-users of in-house systems · Coordinate with the lead developer to prioritize assignments · Be responsive and flexible with ad-hoc requests from other departments · Communicate and build positive business relationships with other departments · Coordinate with other departments to find creative solutions for challenges as needed · Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the department and with other departments · Coordinate and assist the IT Networking and Security department on system upgrades or repairs when requested. This would include upgrading of network and telephony systems and require working after hours and/or evenings. |
